JSC «The Seventh Continent» in all its activities is guided by the high standards of a socially responsible company. As part of its social initiatives, the Company supports a variety of humanitarian and charity projects. An integral component of its activities is its strong desire for a balance between commercial efficiency and social responsibility.
Seventh Continent takes into account the fact that the chain of stores is visited by consumers who have different income levels, including socially vulnerable groups of citizens. In all stores a number of social goods at reduced prices are always presented.
Through the Company's internal reserves and long-term relations with suppliers the Company has been able to maintain low prices for important categories of goods under private label and the products of its own production. In addition, the supermarkets of the chain have a 5% discount on weekday mornings from 7:00 to 10:00, allowing, for example, retired people to buy products during that time at reduced prices.
Seventh Continent is actively supporting municipal institutions of the educational system, together with local authorities in Moscow, and regularly takes part in targeted programs for special assistance to children, retirees, veterans, and the disabled.
The Company continues to provide material assistance directed to children's institutions, as well as allocating money for equipment to be used in education classes, medical rooms, public areas, conference halls, for purchasing clothing, gifts for graduates, upholstered furniture, utensils, children's wheelchairs, etc. All the stores of the Company have special collection boxes, the funds from which go directly to orphanages.
Seventh Continent takes into account the needs of people with physiology disabilities and strives to make the shopping areas of the chain most comfortable for those customers. For this reason, the stores of Seventh Continent chain are equipped with special parking spaces for the disabled, and there are special entrances and exits for them as well. In most stores, the passageways between the cash registers and trade shelves are designed in such a way that people in wheelchairs can move around without difficulty and make purchases both comfortably and easily.
The Company responsibly considers physiology disable persons. Several hundred people with minor disabilities have had the opportunity to further themselves by working at Seventh Continent.
